Event Description
Aim: To raise 5 million Ugandan shillings for urgent renovation costs and classroom equipment. Buwagga Senior Secondary School, located in rural Uganda - 20 km from Kampala, was established by the community members with the objective of being able to offer equal access to quality education right in their own village.
We would like to meet their most urgent need. 5 million Ugandan shillings converts to just over $3000 Canadian.
Education Tools for Buwagga
Located far from the main tarmac road and into the interior amidst rural farming communities is Buwagga Senior Secondary School (BSSS), a growing school in rural Uganda that was founded on the importance of accessible quality education. One of the community school's objectives is to develop its science and vocational studies in order to improve the lives of the local people. The school aims at providing these educational opportunities to the rural poor who otherwise would not attend secondary school, especially the female students.
We are looking to build upon this successful beginning, providing continued support to Buwagga.
