After the success of the last "Food of
the World"
event, this will be the second time that MAA is raising funds on the
university campus in Castellón (Spain). A variety of food
from
different countries will be sold, accompanied by international dances
and music. Moreover the students will be informed about the food crisis
and the work of MAA. All funds will go directly to the MAA
projects in Bangladesh, to support the increase in the budget for
nutritional support. "Food of the World" is organized by students of
the International Masters programme in Peace, Conflict and Development
Studies at the University Jaume I.

North American Bengali Conference Art Competition

Join us in engaging the next generation of youth in international development issues through art! The event is being held in partnership with the North American Bengali Conference Youth Committee and is expected to attract Bengalis from every corner of North America. Participants will range in age from 6 to 18, and will be participating in an art competition with themes centred around global issues. All monetary donations from this event will go straight towards MAA's projects in Bangladesh.

Sustainability and Development Panel

A continuance of the development oriented programs created in partnership with the North American Bengali Conference Youth Committee, the Sustainabilty and Development Panel focuses on what youth can do to make a difference. Three youth from the Toronto area who have made signifcant contributions to social activism on both the local and international level will share their knowledge and enthusiasm with Bengali youth. The event will be both engaging and fun, encouraging youth to consider the complexities of development and underdevelopment, and creating a unique opportunity to emphasize a global identity.
